$10,000 donation provided to the BVSSR to purchase safety equipment for their new boat.
“The safety equipment to be purchased includes items such as an EPIRB, charts and spot lights,” said CEO Kevin Schellack. “Without this mandatory safety equipment on-board BVSR could not effectively operate their new boat”.
BVSR received a Federal Government grant to purchase their new 7.7 metre vessel, the largest 2C survey vessel in the Sea Legs series. BVSR has been operating for over 15 years covering an area from 80 Mile Beach in the south to Cape Leveque in the north. The Sea Legs vessel will enable this work to continue as it can be towed on dirt roads.
