Kimberley Ports Authority has experienced some delays in delivery of the walkway grating and ensuring the protective coating application meets specification. The first 180 metres will be reopened by late September 2017 and sections incrementally thereafter. The project is a significant investment of approximately $1M and the remaining section of the walkway will be completed when further funds can be made available. CEO Kevin Schellack thanks the community for your patience with the walkway closure and wishes to assure walkway users it will be reopened with an extended useful life of up to 10 years.
